Overview

Site Location: Newton Abbot, TQ12

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Shift: 12-hour shift, 4 on / 4 off, 6:00am – 6:00pm

Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour

Due to continued business growth, gap personnel are excited to be recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join the friendly, diverse, and passionate team at Yeo Valley in Newton Abbot. We have multiple roles available with immediate starts.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving, storing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring stock is correctly labelled, tracked, and rotated (FIFO)
  • Loading/unloading vehicles and transferring stock to designated areas
  • Working collaboratively with production and supply chain teams
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures throughout all warehouse activities
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the warehouse
  • Reporting damaged goods or stock discrepancies to team leaders
  • Operating equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if trained)
What We’re Looking For
  • Enthusiastic and reliable team players
  • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work at pace
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and basic numeracy
  • Commitment to health & safety and food hygiene practices
  • Previous warehouse or food manufacturing experience (desirable)
  • Forklift licence (an advantage but not essential)
