Job summary

Americold is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for the Spalding site, in the Blast Freeze section, performing general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

You will load and unload trucks, move pallets, use WMS handheld scanners, follow SOPs, and uphold HACCP and health & safety standards while working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Here at Americold, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based at our Spalding site.

This role is based within our Blast Freeze section, where you’ll be responsible for a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas
• Operating within the Blast Freeze area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times
• Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling
• Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution
• Adhering strictly to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Desirable

• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)

Hourly Rate

£13.13 per hour, £27.56 per week shift premium

Working Hours

• 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Sunday - Thursday
