Job summary

Americold is recruiting a Forklift Operative at The Gables, Camelgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire. This role mixes general warehouse duties with forklift tasks in a temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks as required.
• Move pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas.
• Operate within the warehouse area, ensuring product integrity.
• Receive and dispatch pallets using a Warehouse Management System with handheld scanners.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety rules.
• Carry out general warehouse duties, including packing and product handling.
• Support packing and preparation of products for distribution.
• Adhere to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.

Here at Americold, we are recruiting for a Forklift Operative based at our Spalding site.

In this role you’ll be responsible for a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas
• Operating within the warehouse area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times
• Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling
• Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution
• Adhering strictly to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

Working hours*

Monday - Friday (8am - 6pm)
