Job summary

Americold in Spalding is recruiting for a Forklift Operative to join our temperature-controlled warehouse. You will perform a mix of general operative and forklift duties, loading and unloading trucks, transferring pallets, and handling goods with a WMS handheld scanner.

The role supports packing and preparation for distribution while adhering to SOPs, HACCP standards, and high health and safety expectations in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks.

Here at Americold, we are recruiting for a Forklift Operative based at our Spalding site.

In this role you’ll be responsible for a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas
• Operating within the warehouse area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times
• Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling
• Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution
• Adhering strictly to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

Working hours*

Monday - Friday (8am - 6pm)

• Previous experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Good attention to detail

• Flexible approach and willingness to adapt
• Good communication skills

Desirable
