Job summary

Americold in Spalding is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our Blast Freeze section. You’ll perform a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key tasks include loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, using a WMS with handheld scanners, following SOPs, and supporting packing while upholding HACCP and health & safety standards. The role requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Calm under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Good communication skills.
• Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks as required.
• Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas.
• Operating within the Blast Freeze area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times.
• Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners.
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling.
• Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution.
• Adhering to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times.
