Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour (£26,832 per annum once permanent)
Job type: Temporary to permanent
Working hours: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm / Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a motivated and driven Warehouse Assistant to join our client's family‑based animal feed manufacturers based in Yeovil. They celebrate 125 years being one of the UK's leading and trusted animal feed manufacturers. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the smooth operation of incoming and outgoing deliveries, stock in the warehouse and packaging duties.

General Duties

• Operate within health and safety guidelines, legal requirements and Code of Practice for Cross Contamination.
• Supervise bulk delivery vehicle at intake area and carry out inspections.
• Correctly label raw material sample bags and operate weighbridge duties when applicable.
• Reconcile pre‑ordered bagged dispatches or additions to stock during each shift.
• Pack product when required using the Press Operator.
• Move stacked pallets to clean and dry areas of the warehouse.
• Ensure bags are checked and stacked neatly.

Role Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift licence preferred but training can be provided.
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to remain motivated and reliable.
• Previous lorry shunting experience would be a plus.
