Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk Team Leader to supervise a team of Ward Clerks across multiple specialties. You will ensure efficient administration, maintain data quality, and support HR processes including return to work meetings and appraisals.

A flexible approach and strong leadership are essential. You will oversee staffing across Urgent Care, Medicine and Surgical wards, ensuring safe staffing levels and adherence to performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising ward clerks and coordinating administrative staffing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to support HR processes including return to work meetings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ward Clerk team across wards in Urgent Care, Medicine and Surgery.
• Ensure safe staffing levels and monitor KPIs for admin functions.
• Deliver supervision to staff and support annual appraisals and recruitment.
• Undertake staff training to maintain efficient data quality and processes.
• Manage a range of clerical tasks with strict confidentiality.
