Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk to provide high quality administrative and clerical support to medical and midwifery staff at ward level. You will track patients' care pathways from admission to treatment and discharge, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide general reception duties for patients in the ward.
• Record patient activity on iClip and Badgernet; keep ward diaries up to date.
• Facilitate discharge processes and liaise with relatives and carers as needed.
• Order stationery and equipment in line with local procedures.
• Respond promptly to telephone enquiries and relay messages.
• Undertake additional administrative tasks as required.
• Ensure ward safety and security of patients and visitors.
