Job summary

Fortius is seeking a proactive Ward Administrator to support two sites on three wards. You will be the first point of contact for patients on admission, ensuring checks and payments are completed promptly and accurately, and you will manage the live bed board.

• Competent in Information Technology and office software.

• Previous ward administrator experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients being admitted, ensuring checks and payments are completed before admission.
• Record ward admissions, discharges and transfers in real time to maintain a live bed board.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ward, including handling correspondence.
• Deal with telephone enquiries and refer to the relevant person, maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist in room allocation and coordinate with the team to manage bed availability.
