Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated administrator to provide vital support to the Ward Manager and the multidisciplinary team. You will display initiative and judgement, working both independently and as part of the wider team.

You will use Microsoft Office, learn the e-Rostering system and RiO electronic patient record, greet service users and families, handle calls, order supplies, type letters and take minutes at meetings.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages and willingness to learn new software.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage changing workloads and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team.
• Be the first point of contact for the unit, greet service users and visitors, and handle telephone enquiries.
• Order supplies and stationery using NHS and non-stock channels.
• Type letters, produce documents, reports and agendas, including minute-taking at meetings.
