Job summary

Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London is seeking a passionate Waiter/Waitress to deliver exceptional food and beverage service, develop knowledge of the menu, and create memorable guest experiences in a luxury setting.

You will work with a team to provide attentive service, respond to guest requests, and contribute to a seamless guest journey across the restaurant and bar, with Hyatt’s service standards guiding daily work and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, bar or hotel food and beverage environment is advantageous, but a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service, creating memorable dining experiences for every guest.
• Develop a strong knowledge of menu items, drinks and hotel offerings to confidently assist and advise guests.
• Build genuine connections with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and exceeded throughout their visit.
• Respond professionally to guest enquiries and concerns, resolving issues with care and efficiency.
• Support revenue growth by recommending menu specialties, beverages and additional dining experiences.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and operational readiness within the restaurant and bar areas.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Contribute to a positive team culture while upholding Hyatt’s service standards and values.

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is a luxury hotel steeped in history, located just moments from Covent Garden and around the corner from Trafalgar Square in the heart of Westminster.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Waiter/Waitress role

About you

We are looking for a passionate and guest-focused hospitality professional who enjoys creating memorable experiences. Previous experience in a restaurant, bar or hotel food and beverage environment is advantageous, although a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service are essential. You will be a team player with a professional approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting.
