VSA in Aberdeen is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing management of volunteers across services. The role focuses on safety, governance and effective support for volunteers within the charity.

The postholder will develop volunteering opportunities, coordinate induction and training, and build strong relationships with volunteers and staff to enhance community involvement and impact.

Qualifications

• Good standard of Education is required.
• Experience of working in a Recruitment / Coordination role is essential.
• Desirable: Experience recruiting and coordinating volunteers for a charitable/public sector organisation.

Responsabilités

• Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding: identify, develop, advertise and promote volunteering opportunities; recruit, select and onboard volunteers with checks before deployment.
• Volunteer Programme Development: promote volunteering internally and externally; develop opportunities that add value.
• Volunteer Governance and Compliance: implement volunteer procedures; ensure safeguarding, data protection, health and safety compliance.
• Volunteer Records and Data Management: maintain secure records; monitor activity and engagement for reporting.
• Volunteer Training and Development: coordinate induction and mandatory training; ensure required training is completed.
• Volunteer Support and Engagement: build relationships with volunteers and managers; monitor satisfaction and engagement.
• Corporate Volunteering: coordinate corporate volunteering with supervision, risk assessments and inductions.
• Monitoring, Reporting and Assurance: produce KPI and risk reports; support audits.
