Job summary

Voluntary Service Aberdeen is seeking a proactive Volunteer Coordinator to join our Castle Street Team in Aberdeen. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for volunteers, ensuring safeguarding and governance standards are met.

You will develop volunteering opportunities, coordinate training, track activity and KPIs, and build strong working relationships with volunteers and managers to improve the volunteer experience across our health and social care services.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a Recruitment / Coordination role.
• Essential: good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation, administration and IT/database abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and remain self-motivated.
• Supervisory or team-support skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding of volunteers with checks and references.
• Develop volunteer programmes to increase community involvement.
• Establish and maintain safeguarding, data protection and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and monitor activity metrics.
• Coordinate induction, training and ongoing learning for volunteers.
• Support volunteer engagement and recognition activities.
• Coordinate corporate volunteering and partner relationships.
• Produce KPI and assurance reports on volunteering activity.
