Job summary

VSA in Aberdeen is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support for volunteers across our services.

You will develop the volunteering programme, ensure governance and safeguarding compliance, maintain accurate records, and coordinate training, engagement and recognition. The role requires strong interpersonal and administrative skills to work with managers and align volunteering with VSA’s mission.

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience of working in a Recruitment / Coordination role.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer recruitment and onboarding coordination.
• Develop the volunteering programme to increase community involvement.
• Maintain volunteer governance and compliance with safeguarding and data protection.
• Manage volunteer records, PVG membership and training documentation.
• Coordinate induction and ongoing training for volunteers.
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers and managers.
• Coordinate corporate volunteering activities with partners.
• Produce KPI, performance and assurance reports on volunteering activity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice in volunteer management.
