Job summary

The Mercer Art Gallery and Royal Pump Rooms in Harrogate are seeking friendly staff to join the visitor experience and events team. You will welcome visitors, provide information, and help deliver a range of events across museums and heritage sites.

Roles may include front-of-house, box office, retail and event setup, with duties across venues and activities. Weekend work is required with a weekend allowance as applicable.

Qualifications

• Friendly front of house experience preferred.
• Ability to welcome visitors and provide information about venues and events.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional visitor experience, welcoming visitors and providing information about venues, exhibitions and events.
• Process retail and box office sales.
• Support the delivery of events, performances, workshops and private hire bookings.
• Set up rooms, seating and equipment for events.
• Assist with bar operations and hospitality services.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety across venues.
• Support visitor engagement activities for audiences of all ages.
• Help ensure buildings, collections and visitors remain safe and secure.
