Job summary

Harewood House Trust is seeking a friendly Retail Assistant to join our busy retail team. You will greet visitors, provide product information, keep shops well stocked and help maximise sales while delivering a memorable visitor experience.

Daily duties include handling sales through the EPOS system, supporting merchandising, and assisting with the Harewood online shop. A collaborative, proactive approach and an interest in arts and heritage are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering excellent visitor service and assisting customers.
• Interest in arts, culture or heritage and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work flexibly within a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming visitors in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
• Providing accurate information about Harewood and our products.
• Helping customers find the right products and developing product knowledge.
• Keeping shop floors well stocked, clean and well-presented.
• Supporting stock takes and stock rotation and assisting with merchandising.
• Processing sales and assisting with the EPOS system and online shop duties.
• Building positive relationships with customers and handling enquiries professionally.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and independently as required.
