University of Oxford invites applications for a Visitor Experience Assistant. This part-time role supports a warm, inclusive visitor journey, engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds and helping visitors enjoy the museum's collections and activities.
You will work on a daily rota, including weekends and Tuesdays, with training and opportunities to contribute to fundraising and public programmes. A strong customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential for success.
As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you will help deliver a warm, inclusive and world-class visitor experience, engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds and helping them to make the most of their visit. You will work as part of a dynamic team on a daily rota, welcoming and inspiring visitors, engaging them with the collections and activities, and helping to keep visitors and collections safe. You will contribute to the Museum's financial sustainability by encouraging donations, Gift Aid and membership, raising awareness of the public programme, and providing excellent customer service. You will also work with security teams, support safe evacuation during an emergency, and take part in Tuesday training sessions. These are permanent, part-time posts.
