Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Inverurie is recruiting a Retail Relief Security Officer to protect customers, colleagues, stock and assets while delivering a visible, customer-focused security presence across stores within a reasonable distance of home.

You will work across multiple sites with deployment details usually provided in advance; changes can occur on the day. The role offers a professional environment with ongoing training, compliance with UK law, and KPIs/SLAs to maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• SIA Licence essential; CCTV licence desirable.
• SC Clearance desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers and guiding them.
• Support day-to-day retail operations and respond to incidents.
• Monitor activity to identify suspicious behaviour and prevent stock loss.
• Carry out regular patrols of sales floor and stockrooms.
• Manage conflict situations professionally and with a customer-first approach.
• Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
