Job summary

St Monica Trust is seeking Village Porters at the Cote Lane Retirement Village (BS9) to ensure safety for residents, staff and visitors, respond to incidents, and support daily operations. The role requires clear communication, basic health and safety knowledge, and a full UK driving licence.

Shifts run on a rotating roster with early, late, and night duties. You will be part of a friendly team known for helping residents and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health & safety and fire safety.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Answer entry calls and manage visitor access.
• Monitor CCTV and reassure residents during patrols.
• Be the first point of contact on site.
• Support day-to-day operations of the village.
