Job summary

St Monica Trust is seeking a Village Porter to join our team. You will be the first point of contact on-site, respond to incidents, monitor CCTV, and help keep residents and staff safe.

Strong communication and a calm, proactive approach are essential, along with understanding the needs of older people and holding a valid UK driving licence. Roles include early morning or evening shifts in a 7-week rolling pattern.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health & safety/fire is essential.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to act promptly and effectively in an emergency.
• Understanding of older people's needs is important.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and emergencies across sites.
• Monitor CCTV and handle phone calls as first point of contact.
• Ensure safety of residents, staff and external visitors.
• Support day-to-day running of our sites and reassure residents.
