Job summary

St Monica Trust is seeking Village Porters to help keep residents, staff and visitors safe across our sites. You’ll be the first point of contact, handle entry, respond to incidents, fire alarms and reassurance patrols while monitoring CCTV and phone lines.

This full-time role requires basic health and safety knowledge, good communication, practical skills, and a full UK driving licence. Shifts run 8 hours across a 7-week rolling rota, with paid enhancements on weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health and safety and fire safety.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to respond promptly in emergencies.
• Good practical skills and a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, monitor CCTV, and manage on-site safety.
• Answer calls, monitor fire alarms, and support residents and staff.
• Maintain clear written logs and inform the team of events.
