A veterinary practice in Bristol is seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon. Would you like to practise high-quality first opinion veterinary medicine without weekend or out-of-hours cover? We have a fantastic opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon with UK experience to join our thriving practice in a picturesque setting, while still being close to the city centre.
Margo our practice owner graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria in 2004, and went on to gain over 21 years’ experience including a Head Vet position at a busy London practice, before then going on to opening Vets for Pets Bristol Longwell Green in 2018.
Margo is also supported by an experienced team of vets including Beth who graduated in 2019 and has recently joined on a permanent basis, having had regular locum work with us before that, alongside our visiting imaging, orthopaedic and soft tissue specialists who we see on a regular basis and provide our patients with a range of advanced investigations, procedures and surgeries.
Our strong nursing team, lead by Head Nurse Jo, are hands on in their support and fully utilise their skills including schedule 3 work, nurse consults and clinics, dentals and x-rays.
And with our clinical team all being supported by a professional and welcoming team of 3 receptionists and longstanding Practice Manager Silviya, you’ll be joining a brilliant team.
This is a well-balanced role of surgery and consults, ideal for someone looking to utilise all their skills as part of an experienced team, on a part time basis. Our days are structured well and allow time for admin and breaks, with consults given 30 minutes as standard.
We can be flexible on days but ideally, you’ll work 2 consecutive days per week, from 9am until 7pm with paid lunch break. There are no weekends and no out of hours either, which provides the perfect work-life balance.
