Job summary

inspiring vet care in Market Vets, North Devon, is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join our two-site mixed practice on a full-time permanent basis. You will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greeting clients and their pets with a friendly, compassionate, and helpful demeanor.
• Efficiently managing the diary to maximize appointment slots, handle online bookings, and address emergencies while maintaining client records in compliance with GDPR.
• Answering busy phone lines, emails, and other client communications.
• Registering clients for the Pet Health Club.
• Processing payments.
