Job summary

Vets for Pets is seeking a friendly veterinary receptionist to join our front-of-house team on a part-time fixed-term maternity cover basis. The role involves greeting clients and their pets, scheduling appointments, and handling calls and emails.

You will support the veterinary team with admin tasks and maintain accurate client records while delivering compassionate, professional service. The position is 17 hours per week, in-person at our TR15 3PS location, with benefits including pension,

Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist (Maternity Cover)

We're looking for a friendly, compassionate, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our wonderful front-of-house team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both people and pets and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy veterinary practice.

What You'll Be Doing

• Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and professional approach
• Managing appointments and diary scheduling
• Handling telephone and email enquiries
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records
• Supporting the veterinary team with administrative tasks
• Providing reassurance and empathy to pet owners during both routine and challenging visits

Position Details

• Hours: from 17 hours per week
• Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover
• Saturday mornings: 9:00am-12:30pm on a rota basis (currently 1 in 5)
