Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a friendly, organised Receptionist to join Market Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 12 months. Based at our North Devon two-site practice, you will be the first point of contact for clients, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience.

You will manage the diary, handle enquiries, support client communications and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Market Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 12 months.

We are a friendly, two-site mixed practice based in North Devon, just a short drive from Exmoor and the stunning North Devon beaches. Our practice boasts modern, well-equipped facilities and a diverse range of clinical interests among our team, including exotics and orthopaedics.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greeting clients and their pets with a friendly, compassionate, and helpful demeanor
• Efficiently managing the diary to maximize appointment slots, handle online bookings, and address emergencies while maintaining client records in compliance with GDPR
• Answering busy phone lines, emails, and other client communications
• Registering clients for the Pet Health Club
• Processing payments
