Job summary

Acorn Veterinary Surgery, one of inspiring vet care’s practices in Hove, is hiring a Receptionist for a two-site operation. Flexible full-time or part-time hours offer a welcoming environment with a focus on client care across both sites.

You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications, and work with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
• Proactive attitude and openness to feedback and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent experience to all patients and customers.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors.
• Answer the telephone in a professional manner.
• Greet visitors in a friendly manner.
• Booking, cancelling and changing appointments, and follow up treatment as needed.
• Answer general administrative questions or direct them to the appropriate party.
• Deal with some admin responsibility.
• Quickly resolve issues related to phone, emails or paperwork.
• Processing and recording payments.
• Dispensing medications/prescriptions.
• Keeping client/patient records up to date.
