We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Ashman Jones Vets.

Location: Bath

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday with shifts between the hours of 08.00 – 19.00, with a share in the Saturday rota

About Ashman Jones Vets:

Based in Bath, we are a well-established and thriving practice. We have a large and loyal client following, which provides a breadth of cases across a range of small animal species.

We are currently a 2-site practice fully equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, full in-house lab, separate dog and cat ward, and fully equipped operating theatre. Our 3rdsite is currently under construction and will be purpose-built housing all of the same facilities.

About the role:

Are you an experienced receptionist lookingto join a fun and friendly team?

Due to site expansion, we arelooking for a receptionist to join our team at Ashman Jones. We treat our clients and their pets as part of ‘our family,' offering a friendly, welcoming service. We pride ourselves on high levels of clinical care.

Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and their pets as well as the clinical team. You will be responsible for greeting clients, offering support and guidance, managing payments and future bookings.

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

• Answering phones and booking appointments
• Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
• Registering new clients
• Completing insurance forms
• Dispensing medications
• Taking payments
• And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

• Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
• Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
• An excellent communicator with strong empathy
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
