Job summary

Vets Now in Barnet is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our emergency team. This role covers Saturday 12:00–19:30 and Sunday 08:30–19:30, every other weekend, with bank holidays included.

You will provide triage, anaesthesia, in-patient care, and basic diagnostics alongside our experienced ECC team. RCVS registration is required, and ECC experience is advantageous; a competitive hourly rate up to £20 and a benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Every other weekend working Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30.
