Job summary

Vets Now in Milton Keynes is looking for a Weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our busy emergency team. This role covers Saturday 12:00–19:00 and Sunday 09:00–21:00 on an alternating weekend pattern, plus bank holidays, with competitive pay up to £19 per hour depending on experience.

You will contribute to triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care, supported by access to ECC certificates and CPD. RCVS registration is required, with a passion for caring for clients and their pets and a

Every other weekend working Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 21:00

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.

• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
