Vets Now is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse in Aberdeen to join our emergency team, covering Saturdays and Sundays from 18:00 to 00:00 with additional bank holiday shifts.

The role focuses on triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care, with opportunities to broaden ECC skills and CPD access. RCVS registration is required, ECC experience is advantageous, and a supportive, +benefits package is provided.

Competenze

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Mansioni

• First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, in-patient trends.

Week 1: Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 2: Off

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

• First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
