Job summary

Vets Now is seeking a Part Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Peterborough team. In this role you will be involved in triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care, supporting our emergency pet care service.

You must be RCVS registered (minimum six months) and committed to high clinic standards. ECC experience is advantageous. The position offers an hourly rate up to £17, with a generous CPD package and pro-rated benefits.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

Every other Friday from 19:00 to 09:00
