Job summary

Vets Now in High Wycombe is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our emergency team. This role focuses on triage, surgery support, anaesthesia, and in-patient care during Saturdays and Sundays with a rotating schedule. You will contribute to delivering exceptional pet care on weekends.

RCVS registration for at least six months is required, with ECC experience preferred. We offer benefits, a generous CPD package, and a supportive environment to develop your ECC knowledge.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for clients and their pets.
• ECC experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Week 1: Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30

Week 2: Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30

Week 3: Off

Week 4: Off
