Job summary

Vets Now in Kilmarnock is seeking a Sunday Veterinary Nurse to join our weekend team. This role supports patients and clients, with every other Sunday 08:30 to 18:30 and a fair share of bank holidays.

Join the UK's leading emergency pet care provider to enhance ECC knowledge, while balancing family commitments or a second income. Training and CPD packages are provided.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice and in clinic care.
• Critical Care – monitor major body systems and in-patient trends.
• Diagnostics – perform basic diagnostic procedures in sole charge capacity.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.

• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
