Job summary

Hartmann Young Limited, partnered with an established veterinary diagnostics company, is seeking a driven Sales Specialist to join its Large Animal Diagnostics team in Europe, reporting to the VP of Sales. Initially, the role is based in the UK or Ireland, with travel up to 50%.

You will drive regional sales across existing and new accounts, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and demonstrate PCR and ELISA capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field related to biology, biochemistry or veterinary medicine.
• Several years of sales experience in molecular diagnostics within large-animal veterinary industry preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to develop customer relationships and drive sales growth.
• Confidently communicating complex technical information and demonstrating diagnostic products to customers.
• Highly organised, self-motivated and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional sales activities to achieve revenue, profitability and market share targets across existing and new accounts.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through multiple channels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across universities, reference labs and the animal health industry.
• Act as field-based product and technology expert across species and diagnostic technologies (PCR/ELISA).
• Understand customer needs and deliver tailored product demonstrations and solutions.
• Manage the sales process from lead generation to quotation follow-up and closing.
• Represent the company at meetings, industry events and trade shows.
• Support implementation of new diagnostic solutions at customer sites.
• Develop regional sales activity plans, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and maintain CRM records.
• Stay up to date with product developments and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
