Job summary

Medivet Frimley Green is seeking a Client Care Assistant to be the first point of contact for clients, both in person and on the phone, while supporting the clinical team. You will manage appointments, handle queries, and maintain a calm reception area for clients and their pets.

You’ll be part of a rotation including the Wokingham Hospital, with a schedule that includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, ideally covering the 10:30–19:30 closing shift.

Qualifications

• Excellent client-facing communication and reception skills.
• Good numeracy and experience with online appointment booking systems.
• Team player who can prioritise, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to a veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties, greet clients on arrival, and update records.
• Triage the impact of emergency appointments and rearrange as needed.
• Manage the practice diary to optimise appointment availability.
• Answer client phone calls and manage messages.
• Ensure appointment slots are available for online booking.
• Process repeat prescription orders.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
