Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic to join a respected independent team. Modern tooling, a fast-paced workshop, and strong group backing provide career stability.

Daily duties include servicing, diagnostics, brake work, tyre replacement, and general repairs. A full UK driving licence is essential, with F‑Gas preferred and MOT tester licence optional.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a busy workshop as Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic or Service Specialist.
• NVQ Level 2/3 preferred; time-served experience considered.
• F‑Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, tyre replacement, braking maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to fault-find and resolve electrical and technical issues.
• Maintain high first-time fix quality while following safety guidelines.
• Work productively to complete repairs and keep the workshop running smoothly.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to ensure fast, reliable service.
