Job summary
Hawk Hiring in Andover is seeking a professional Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our premier independent service team. You will work on brakes, steering, suspension, exhaust and chassis, using modern diagnostic tools in a dealer-standard facility.
You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform routine servicing, and maintain accurate digital records. Full UK driving licence is essential; MOT tester criteria with training provided.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds) or time-served equivalent.
- At least 2 years hands-on garage/workshop experience.
- F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.
- Full UK driving licence essential; MOT tester licence preferred (training provided).
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance including brakes, steering, suspension, exhaust, tyres, and chassis.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults with scanners and software.
- Carry out servicing and safety inspections to manufacturer standards.
- Maintain accurate digital job records and support workshop flow.
- Assist with MOT testing and vehicle inspections (training provided).
