Qualifications

• Proven track record in a busy workshop as Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic or Service Specialist.
• NVQ Level 2/3 preferred; time-served experience considered.
• F‑Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, tyre replacement, braking maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to fault-find and resolve electrical and technical issues.
• Maintain high first-time fix quality while following safety guidelines.
• Work productively to complete repairs and keep the workshop running smoothly.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to ensure fast, reliable service.

Your Day-to-Day

Working as a core member of our technical team in Weston-super-Mare, you will:

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, tyre replacement, braking system maintenance, and general mechanical repairs.
• Utilize up‑to‑date diagnostic tools to efficiently fault‑find and resolve technical and electrical issues.
• Maintain high-quality "first‑time fix" results while adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
• Work productively to complete repairs accurately and keep the workshop operating smoothly.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to uphold our high standards of fast, reliable customer service.

What You Bring to the Table

• Qualifications & Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Specialist in a busy workshop setting. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 preferred, though time‑served technical experience is also considered. F‑Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• The Skills: Strong working knowledge of general vehicle servicing, major mechanical components, tyre replacement, and diagnostics.
• The Credentials: A full UK driving licence is essential. Having an active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• The Mindset: A reliable, self‑motivated professional with good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
