Job summary

Halfords Autocentres seeks a Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles, with the opportunity to gain an MOT Tester licence and a salary uplift on successful completion.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs and replacements.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Carry out more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across vehicle electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work.
• From advanced diagnostics and complex repairs through to routine servicing, ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired to a high standard.
