Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is recruiting a Vehicle Technician in the UK. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and repair work, with the opportunity to gain an MOT Tester licence. On successful completion, salary uplift applies.

Expect a base up to £35,000 plus an uncapped annual bonus averaging £6,600, aiming at an overall OTE up to £41,600. Hybrid training and progression are supported within Halfords' automotive network.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• MOT tests to DVSA standards upon qualification.
• Carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs and replacements.
• Service and repair across braking, electrical, steering and suspension systems.
• Maintain high standards to keep vehicles safely on the road.
