Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is seeking a Vehicle Technician to service, repair and diagnose vehicles. You can progress to MOT Tester, with support through the qualification and a salary uplift on successful completion.

Role involves clincal servicing, diagnostic work and advanced repairs across braking, electrical and suspension systems. A full UK licence is required and there’s a clear progression path within the UK’s leading automotive service network.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair/replacement work on vehicles.
• Carry out diagnostics and complex repairs.
• Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified.
• Contribute to high standards of vehicle maintenance and safety.
