Halfords Autocentres is hiring a Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles, with the opportunity to gain an MOT Tester licence. Initial focus is on standard servicing and diagnostics, with training provided for MOT testing and a salary uplift on completion.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and replacements as required.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified.
• Perform diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired to high standards for customer safety.
