Job summary
Halfords Autocentres is seeking a Vehicle Technician with the potential to gain an MOT Tester licence. You will be supported through MOT qualification with a salary uplift on completion and a chance to work on advanced diagnostics and complex repairs across electrical, braking, steering, and suspension systems.
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll perform service, repair and diagnostic work, undertake MOT tests when qualified, and contribute to high standards of vehicle maintenance to ensure customer
Qualifications
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
- Must have a full drivers license with no more than 9 points.
- Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs and replacements.
- Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repair and replacement work.
- Perform more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
- Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified.
- Maintain and repair vehicles to high standards to keep customers safe on the road.
