Job summary

Hawk Hiring seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Specialist to join our Barry independent garage. You will work Monday to Friday 08:00–17:30 with zero weekend shifts, in a technician-first workspace that values your skills.

You will service vehicles, perform diagnostics, fault finding, and general mechanical repairs using modern tools. A strong commitment to first-time fixes and teamwork will help you thrive in our friendly, stable environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven track record as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, brake overhauls, clutch replacements, timing belts, and general mechanical repairs.
• Utilize modern diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and engine faults.
• Maintain high standards to ensure reliable first-time fix results and workshop productivity.
• Work collaboratively as part of a skilled team to keep workflow smooth and uphold customer trust.
