Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Andover is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a premier independent service team. The role offers dealership‑standard workmanship with a friendly, local culture and modern diagnostic tools.

You will perform repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and MOT support, while maintaining precise digital records. Training is provided for MOT testing and manufacturer protocols; the position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time‑served equivalent). Practical, "time served" experience is highly valued.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in a busy garage, workshop, or fast‑fit setting.
• F‑Gas certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive repairs and maintenance, including braking, steering, suspension, exhaust, tyre fitting, and general chassis work.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic scanners and multi-brand software.
• Carry out routine servicing, multi-point safety inspections, and manufacturer‑aligned maintenance.
• Maintain precise digital job records while collaborating closely with a friendly service team to keep workshop flow seamless.
• Assist with MOT testing and vehicle inspections (training provided).
