Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Bristol is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a busy workshop. You will perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a range of makes and models in a modern, clean garage environment with no weekend shifts.

The role offers £35,000–£40,000 per year, weekdays 08:00–17:30, and opportunities for manufacturer-specific training, with a supportive team and pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI Level 3 or City & Guilds (or time-served equivalent) with 1 year hands-on experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred (or interest in obtaining it).
• Full UK driving licence; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle diagnostics, routine servicing, safety inspections and repairs across multiple makes/models.
• Use modern diagnostic tools and scanners to identify faults and repair them.
• Conduct MOT inspections if qualified, following DVSA guidelines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and maintain digital service records.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and collaborate with the team.
