Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Wimbledon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team. We offer a £36,000–£40,000 basic salary, Monday to Friday hours 09:00–18:00, and no weekend shifts, with a focus on technical quality over volume.

You will perform heavy mechanical repairs, diagnose faults across various makes, carry out servicing, and maintain digital records while working with the service management team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served) with clutches, belts and wet belt systems experience.
• F-Gas certification is preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Execute heavy mechanical repairs including clutches, cambelts and wet-belt replacements.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults across a range of makes/models.
• Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance to high standards.
• Maintain accurate digital job records and liaise with service management and senior technicians.
