Job summary

Hawk Hiring, based in Stroud, seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for our premier independent garage. You will service, diagnose, and repair a variety of premium vehicles in a relaxed, quality-focused environment.

Join a close-knit team with an approachable manager, weekday hours 08:00–17:00, and weekends free. You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, and safe repairs, supported by modern equipment and a culture that values craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.
• Own hand tools; collaborative team player with pride in quality workmanship.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs across various makes/models.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment for fault finding, electrical troubleshooting and mechanical fixes.
• Maintain thorough maintenance & prep work to ensure top-tier quality and safety standards.
• Keep precise digital job records and maintain a clean, safe workshop.
