Job summary

Hawk Hiring seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent Stonehouse workshop. This permanent role offers a stable, weekday schedule with true work-life balance, and a modern facility with high-tech diagnostics.

You will service vehicles, perform routine inspections, and diagnose faults using up-to-date tooling, working with a supportive team in a small, well-regarded Gloucestershire business.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds equivalent; time-served technicians encouraged to apply.
• Full UK driving licence required; MOT Tester licence preferred.
• Own hand tools required; strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, multi-point inspections, braking overhauls, and general mechanical repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance and vehicle prep to meet standards before handover.
• Use modern diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain high first-time fix quality across a diverse range of vehicles.
