Job summary

Evans Halshaw, Ford Bedford is launching a Vehicle Technician Apprentice program with Lithia UK. You will learn on the job while working towards an IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, supported by an experienced mentor. No prior automotive experience is required as progression is part of the apprenticeship.

You will attend a Training Academy in Daventry 12 times for 4 days each during the 3-year programme, building a long-term career as a Vehicle Technician.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade C/4 in English, Maths and Science.
• No automotive experience required; apprenticeship handles training.
• IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance targeted.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles following clear instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain repair/service records on in-house system and for customers.
